Our Story
Strictly by Hand Detailing is the culmination of a lifelong obsession with the automobile. For our Founder, Drew Clifford, the thrill of a beautiful car began in early childhood, but the true journey started at sixteen with his first vehicle: a black Jeep Wrangler Sahara.
Like any young driver, Drew wanted a ride that stood out. But for him, “Standing out” meant more than just modifications - it meant achieving a level of cleanliness that was nothing short of flawless. He became obsessed with maintaining that deep, “wet-look” finish on the jeep’s black paint, a result so striking it caught the attention of everyone who saw it. What started as a personal passion soon turned into a side business, as friends and family began asking Drew to bring that same “beyond showroom” finish to their own vehicles.
This passion eventually led Drew to the local car show circuit, where he was exposed to automotive works of art. Driven to master the craft at the highest level, he joined the team at RDS Automotive Studios in West Chester. There, Drew refined his skills in advanced paint correction and interior preservation while maintaining some of the world’s most incredible exotic cars.
By 2019, the demand for Drew’s personal touch and meticulous eye for detail had grown so large that he chose to branch out on his own. Strictly by Hand Detailing was officially born - founded on the principle that every vehicle deserves a master-level finish, executed with the same care as that first black Jeep.
